My Story

My name is Caleb Haynes and I am a Jesus-follower, husband, dad-to-be, pastor, sandwich artist, professional recycler, baby-sitter, and neighbor.
I co-pastor with my wife Emily in Nashville,  TN. We've been doing this for some years now and are enjoying the fulfillment of life-giving ministry in the Kingdom of God. :) We pastor Kaleo Nashville and are affiliated with the Nazarene denomination.
In theology we might sound familiar, in practice we probably look pretty different.
Feel free to say "hi!" at www.KaleoNashville.com

Both my wife and I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University (www.trevecca.edu) and also spent time working with churches in Frankfurt and Mainz Germany. (www.kiamainz.de)

The journey of Kaleo has been an amazing one thus far! Once we understood better who we are and our identity as a church, God began to grow us in really fun ways. I've never been a part of or even heard of a church like this before... that is, one that's so community and neighborhood focused, that 80% of those involved live within a 1 mile radius of each other... (who bought homes here to be a part of what was going on.) We are humbled and thrilled to be a part of this movement.

I share this little glimpse about our community only to say that God is at work! I've seen first hand how easy it is to become discouraged in your ministry or small group. So I encourage you to seek God's face, open your hand and allow Him to give you the identity He wants you to have... and see His kingdom come!

These small group discussions are the actual guides that we've been using for a while now and have provided, I believe, to be a healthy platform for growth.  (see page on Small Group Philosophy)

Enjoy...
